Source: The obituary is from a collection by Fauniel Hershberger, saved the 1950's, 60's and 70's. She was a life long resident of Fountain County Indiana.  The collection is now housed at Crawfordsville District Public Library.

Ray Holladay Jr., 49, an electrician for General Builders, Inc., died Saturday, Jan. 21, 1978 in Home Hospital, where he was admitted Jan. 14. He resided at 1613 Dearborn St. Born at Lafayette, he was reared in the Attica area, and was a graduate of Attica High School and attended Purdue University. He returned to Lafayette in 1963. In 1949 he was married near Odell to Barbara Jean Snouwaert, office secretary for H. Clark Service, Inc. She survives. A veteran of the Korean conflict, he served in the Air Force from 1951 to 1955. A former employee of Payne Construction and Ralph Garrett Electric he had been employed by General Builders Inc. for the past five years. Mr. Holladay was a member of Attica Lutheran Church. Surviving with the widow are two daughters, Mrs. Fred (Patricia Lynn) Combs of Lafayette, Miss Pamela Lee Holladay, at home; his mother, Mrs. Frances Holladay of Rt. 1, Attica; and a brother, Donald Holladay of Rt. 1, Attica. Funeral services at Lafayette with burial in Riverside Cemetery.  --waw
